Amit,

I totally disagree with your view on people checking stats too much. No one checks too much... BRB while I check my stats LOL

Hi Doug,

I lower the max bid price by 10% so that would be 0.40 to 0.36 by 0.04. I just used this as an example, you could easily do 5% or 15%, the idea is to setup rules and stick with them.

Glad you liked the post!

Hi Amit, good post and well worth repeating.

I thought I'd ask you a question that I've been asked before. When you talk about lowering your bid by a certain percentage, is this based on the actual bid price, or the amount you're paying?

For example, I might bid .40 but I'm paying .24. If I want to lower my bid by 10%, do I lower it by .04 down to .36, or lower .24 by 10% since that's what I'm actually paying?

I think understanding this will help a lot of people.

Regards, Doug

Hi Amit,

Your post hit home with me. I especially have a big challenge with item #1 - Checking stats. I am obsessed with this in all areas of my life.

Of course, I check my email way too often, which reduces my productivity. :-D

Very relevant post.

Thanks
Greg
