However, do you use the same strategy for content network? I think long tail does not work well on content network and I am just curious what do you think?

Yeah I STRONGLY recommend using the same approach for content network, in fact this strategy works even BETTER for content.

No you create an adgroup for the content network and put in 50 keywords around a theme that you want your ad to show for. You can put in more but only the first 50 ads are considered.
Good stuff Amit. You’re dead on, it’s pretty hard to do well if you screw this step up
