No, I didn’t write the headline for shock value, Stuff White People Like is actually a hilarious, somewhat edgy, and controversial blog.
Stuff White People Like doesn’t really make fun of white people, so much as it makes fun of urban hipsters & yuppies. The author of the blog is actually a white guy himself!
I love this blog because it describes people in Boston so accurately that it’s almost SCARY!
The reason I’m bring up Stuff White People Like is because it’s an amazing example of how POWERFUL blogging can be.
Here’s some mind blowing stats about Stuff White People Like :
- Has over 14 MILLION visitors since it’s inception - started Jan 18th, 2008. No joke - check out the date on the first post.
- Averages over 1000 comments per post - and that’s a conservative estimate.
Now go to Stuff White People Like and check out the cleverly placement of Google adsense ads, sometimes before a post and sometimes after.
Now based on the amount of traffic this guy’s pulling in can you IMAGINE HOW MUCH MONEY HE’S MAKING?
The blog itself ONLY has around a hundred posts.
Stuff White People Like has totally demolished any doubts in my mind about the enormous income potential of blogging.
So what stops most people from starting a money making blog of their own?
Two things :
- Most people don’t have the technical know how to setup a blog properly
- Most people don’t know the fastest and most effective ways to start getting a ton of traffic to their blog

Hey yeah I saw that website a few months back, did you know that the author of it has been given a deal by Random House publishing for $350,000 USD to write a book on the same subject.
The writing on his site is incredible and the funny thing is the author is actually Canadian and knows so much about the typical well-to-do American (not that there’s a huge difference). I also know the author now works in San Diego for an IT company and started the site for fun after discussing with his Canadian friends how the US lacked the multi-culuralism in Canada. Go Canada!
Another thing to add is the site didn’t have adsense on it for the last few months, but he doesn’t really need it, the book will probably sell millions.
what’s with his adsense layout? premium publisher? css?

This is pretty surprising that he’s gotten away with Adsense in a Wordpress-hosted blog. I thought it was against their rules. Anyway, so how much has he made from Adsense?
Wow. Usually a successful blog would have a couple of posts with over 100 comments.
This one has posts with more than 2500 comments, and I don’t know if there is a post with less than 200. OMG
This is successful blogging at the next level.
With that adsense layout his CTR must be very high.

Wow… those are awesome stats! How did this guy promote the blog? That many visitors in such a short time frame didn’t just happen by accident.
Premium Wordpress.com publishers can put ads on their blogs, meaning you have to pay a fee to do that.
How the heck did he promote his blog i think it is viral. also i read it is bought by target now
Any details on when the new PPC Affiliate Classroom will launch? I will check out the free portion of this class, but am really interested in the PPC Classroom.
Reading the comments, I have come to the conclusion that most of them were made to get 1 way backlinks from the flavor of the season blog.
I think it is kind of lame to assume your readers dont know how to setup a simple wordpress blog. i mean if you have hostgator hosting you only have to press about 4 buttins to have wordpress installed on it.
Trying to make affiliate sales from your readers by enticing them with the stats of one of the most successful and viral blogs ever is definatly very lame.
I just can say here: WOW never saw a blog having +1000 comments in just a short of time.

The author is doing awesome now but he would probably be better off if he had his own domain. Oops. That blog is a RIOT. I wonder if stuff-african-american-people-like.biz is available.
