Before I talk about giving, I want to say that I NEVER meant my lifestyle posts to be link bait or a way to create buzz. There simple purpose is to show you what’s possible and attainable by being successful in affiliate marketing.
Having gone from rags to riches I’m PROUD of what I’ve accomplished and will continue to share what lifestyle this incredible business has created for me and my wife.
I’m grateful for all the blessing I have in my life, and I feel it’s my responsibility to share my blessings, my talents, and my riches. This blog and the information and inspiration I give out is a part of that.
What I failed to realized is that many people are brainwashing in to feeling guilty about wealth and success (they grew up hearing “Money is the root of all evil”, “We may be poor but at least we’re honest!”, etc). They think it’s wrong to talk about your success and your lifestyle. Their stomachs lurk when they read my lifestyle posts.
If your stomach lurches when you read my lifestyle posts then I’ve done my job. Because those feeling of guilt, that somehow there’s something wrong with being successful or telling others about it, are keeping you from living a truly prosperous life. Make no mistake, money alone won’t make you prosperous, there are lots of unhappy rich people out there, especially those who feel guilty about their wealth.
When I hear about other people’s successes, the money they’vc made, the lifestyle they live, the great businesses they’re created, I celebrate that!
There’s nothing wrong with being successful, or achieving great wealth. And there’s nothing wrong with showing other people what you’ve accomplished, especially if you’re trying to help them reach the same goal.
And it’s ashamed that not everyone is willing to do what it takes, or has the proper skills sets and mindset to create great wealth. I certainly didn’t for many years of my life!
So again I believe it’s my responsibility to help people develop those skills and the proper mindset, so they can achieve the success that I have or more. The ultimate success is helping other people achieve the same level of success you have.
I’ve helped a lot of people with their affiliate marketing businesses and will continue to do so. I personally help my good friend, Jeff Roth, get started in this business. He quit his job in 3 months. And I can tell you that meant MORE to me than my Rolex or my black card.
Giving is one of the best parts of being successful and rich. There’s nothing that gives me more joy. And YES I was giving back when I was poor too, but now I can give way more.
I give away over 10% of my income every months to causes I believe in, and to my church. I have donated to, and donate to the Make a Wish Foundation, the Red Cross ,among others. I’ve been doing this for years, even when I had very little money.
The more I give the more I realized the universal truth: the more you give the more blessing you attract in your life.
I believe I attracted and continue to attract great relationships, peace of mind, joy and happiness, and wealth into my life because I have given so much and continue to give.
Ultimately, living is all about giving.
So if you’re not already giving, and you want to start giving, I would suggest you not just give your money, but also give your time, and your talents. I do this through my blog, through my mastermind group, through giving talks, & through helping people personally.
Success is best measured by how many people are better off because you lived.

Hi Amit,
Your lifestyle post totally inspired me and did exactly what you mentioned in this post.
I have started my journey and like Jeff will quit my job before March 2008.
I too worked at MIT (AI Lab) and now work at Microsoft. It is a “good” job but I don’t have the freedom that crave so much.
I am a very focused and motivated person. It would absolute make my day if I could talk with you offline either on phone or email.
I will make sure your contribution is not wasted and make sure that it turns into some thing that will make you proud to be a part of.
Earnestly,
Amit B.
Nice post Amit! Glad there are good people like yourself in this industry.

Hey Amit, I read your post on your lifestyle and was very inspired by it. I have not stopped literally telling my friends about your blog. Today while driving, I have been thinking about what you say about affiliate programs. I would love to learn from you. Would you be kind to provide some guides? I have a post on “money is the root of all evil” recently. Here is the link http://justintsan.com/?p=16 Keep up your good work. Cheers
Hello Amit,
A great thank you and a big Hug for being bold and standing what you believe in. Hey I am not interested in what the average joe schome has to say, all they can tell me is complain, criticise etc.
Just like Success begts Success, Misery loves company and I am personally inspired by the success of people like you, and willing to do whatever it takes.
Looks like you read the kerion’s blog… lol…
Keep up the good work.
Vijay
If you work hard at something, there’s no shame in celebrating your success. Earlier this year, I thought I was in pretty good shape, but then started working with a trainer. In 6 months, my body fat went from 22% to 15.5%. Not bad for someone who sits at a computer all day! Celebrate it!
And speaking of donating to the Red Cross… if you can’t donate money, give blood! No matter how much money they have, there’s still no substitute for blood.
quit his job in 3 months? That’s incredible. I have been trying to quit my job for 3 years. My AM business still hasn’t worked out for me but before I could quit, i got fired.
Great article and your comments are very insightful. Just as a note, most people misquote the Bible when they say “money is the root of all evil” What it actually says is “the love of money is the root of all evil” – 1 Timothy 6:10
In this case Love can be interpreted as the greedy kind of love that drives one to do whatever it takes to make money and discounts the cost involved to others. You have seen those who are so wrapped up in their “love” of money that they eventually are consumed to the point they become rotten for the lack of a better word.
Money is not evil. Some of the wealthiest people in written history were the old testament patriarchs.
It’s what we so with that money that defines us… it is how we go about getting it that reflects our true inner self.
I say….. go for it…. just stay real
“I personally help my good friend, Jeff Roth, get started in this business. He quit his job in 3 months. And I can tell you that meant MORE to me than my Rolex or my black card.”
Aww shucks…you make me blush.
Good for you, Amit! I believe the heart of your post is your assertion that when you hear about the successes of others, you CELEBRATE them!
You may not be able to change the mindset of those who choose to be offended by your enthusiasm for your new lifestyle … but it’s important to speak your own truth.
Cheers from Canada,
Sheila
