My Weekend in Vegas

What a weekend!
For those of you who couldn’t make it to PPC Classroom LIVE, you missed out BIG TIME!
It was an absolutely awesome event. I had a chance to give my first keynote talk, it was really a unique experience, and I can’t wait to do it again in the future. I just love telling my story and connection with people.
And I gotta tell you, my story connects with almost EVERYONE, since I knew nothing about marketing or the internet when I got started, and after having a chance to have some real face time with major heavy hitters in the industry, I realized I STILL have A LOT to learn.
Here’s just a few of the affiliate marketing and internet marketing legends I had a chance to meet and get to know:
Above is a picture of me with Kirt Christensen, who is nothing short of an absolute legend in the world of internet marketing.
I really had a chance to talk to Kirt and get to know him, and he’s just a really great guy.
In my opinion he knows WAY more about Adwords than anyone I’ve ever meet. I got a ton of useful information about Adwords from Kirt’s presentation at the conference.
In the Above picture I’m with Anik Singal, who needs no introduction, after all he’s the brains behind Affiliate Classroom, which has had a major impact on this industry.
From the moment we first talked, Anik and I hit it off and became instant friends. Must be the Indian connection.
Here’s me with Rosalind Gardner, a legend in the affiliate marketing industry and the first person to write a real ebook on how to do affiliate marketing.
Rosalind gets a mind blowing 500% ROI off of her affiliate efforts!
Here’s Kirt, Greg, and I grabbing a bite to eat :
I’m actually having lunch with Greg today; he’s a hilarious guy. I call him the “Chris Rock” of internet marketing. Greg has some killer strategies on how to advertise your business offline, which I’ll be discussing with him over lunch.
I also had a chance to meet my business partner and good friend Andrew Wee for the first time in person.
He’s a razor sharp marketers.
Even though he’s been involved with internet marketing for only half as long as I have, he has an AMAZING amount of knowledge, insight, and online marketing expertise. If you’ve read his blog, you know what I’m talking about.
I’m very fortunate to be partnered up with him.
Yes, the content at PPC LIVE was great, but the #1 reason I really enjoy going to seminars is the opportunity to network and make new friends.
I love hanging out with entrepreneurs and internet marketers, they’re a little eccentric but absolutely full of life!
But hey, so am I!
If you’re new to affilaite marketing and have never attended a seminar, I strongly recommend it, if anything just to network and associate with like minded people.
One of the keys to becoming successful in this or ANY business is to associate with successful people (in that business), attending seminars and conferences such as PPC LIVE, affiliate summit, SES, etc are a great way to do that.

Sounds like Anik put on a great conference! I wish I had attended, chatted with Ros a few days before she went and really would have liked to hear her presentation from start to finish. I only got the sneak preview as it was being developed
I totally agree with you Amit. It was a great time this last weekend and there was tons of information there to pick up. I really enjoyed your presentation and thought you did very well for your first time speaking. I look forward to getting to hear from you again.
Hey Amit, sorry I missed this event and your talk in particular. I did buy Jeremy & Anik’s course, so I believe they’re making the audio available to their customers. So, hopefully, I’ll be able to hear it then.
500% ROI?! I’m surprised no one has commented about this. Is that thru her mailing list
Hey Amit!
It was a pleasure meeting you in Vegas. The networking was amazing and I’m busy than ever from the information learned in the presentations and through speaking with everyone. It was a great time all around.
Hey Amit,
Was great to see you again this past weekend.
Here’s a tidbit for Amit’s readers…
I first met Amit at Affiliate Summit 2006 East in Orlando where we sat around the pool together and he picked my brain doggedly.
Look at him NOW. Just a short year and a half later and he’s a KEYNOTE speaker at Anik’s event.
Just shows what you can do when you really want something and put your mind to it.
Way to go, Amit!!
Cheers,
Ros
