I’m excited to announce that I will be speaking at the Affiliate Summit in Miami this summer. The Affiliate Summit will be between July 8-10th. I will be speaking on Monday at 3:30-4:30pm, my talk is titled “Secrets of a PPC Super-Affiliate.”

If you’re NOT attending the Affiliate Summit I would strongly recommend that you consider going. You see when I first started out in affiliate marketing and I heard about the Affiliate Summit, I said to myself: “Sounds really good, however, I’m not sure I want to cough up a $1000 and then have to pay for hotel + airfare.”
I know EXACTLY how you feel!
When I was just starting out in the game I was searching under my sofa cushions for extra quarters to pay my Google bill. Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating, but I’ll tell you this: I was completely broke. I had $20,000 of consumer debt, and it’s not exactly cheap living in Boston supporting a wife on one income.
But you know what I said to myself, hey, yeah this Affiliate Summit thing is expensive. However, this is an investment in my future. This will be a great opportunity to learn from, and network with, top affiliates and merchants. Afterall, the best way to succeed is to associate with other successful people. Sure, the trip may cost me $2000, but I’ll make that back 10 fold.
And you know what, that’s exactly what happened. The return on investment on my first Affiliate Summit conference was at least 100X if not more. I had the opportunity to meet a lot of merchants, I decided to work closely with one of them and quickly become one of their top affiliates. I drive so many sales for this merchant that they recently rewarded me and my wife on an all expense paid 10 day Alaskan cruise + 3 days in Victoria, Canada (worth $18,000), first class all the way.
For all you job people out there that think you have great benefits: How’s that for a benefit!
Seriously, my first time at the Summit I learned a LOT, I meet some really great people, and I came back from the Summit with a new drive and focus to take my affiliate marketing business to the next level.
Attending the right conferences is KEY in this business, it not only an amazing opportunity to learn and network, it will totally recharge you and motivate you. Even if you’re a full timer like myself, you need that motivation and social interaction, after spending day after day alone at home in front of your computer!
This year I also plan to attend SES (Search Engine Strategies) Chicago and the Elite Retreat + 1-2 wealth building seminars.

Amit, it’s funny how you posted this… I was trying to justify the “fees” of all theses conferences (affiliate summit, SES, etc.) and trying to decide what I would really get out of it besides a few sessions. So in your opinion, what is the real value for the price? THe networking oppurtunities? My thoughts have always been that the booth rentals from the sponsors should be covering a majority of the costs and that we should be able to attend for free or low-cost. Sort of like magazines, the bulk revenue is derived from the advertisers and we get the mag for a couple bucks

The networking opportunity is invaluable. Yes, the price is high, on the other hand, it assures that only the serious people will be there.
