When my wife and I were in the jewelry store at our hotel in Bermuda, an amazing watch caught my eye. It was the elusive and rare Rolex Submariner with a green bezel.
I had to get it, so I called Amex, told them i was going to buy a Rolex, and Shilpi and I went to the jewelry shop the next day and bought it!

This watch is EXTREMELY difficult to get, it’s the 50th anniversary addition Rolex Submariner watch. There are waiting lines for this watch!
Rolex submariner is possibly one of the coolest watches ever made. It can go underwater up to a depth of a 1000 ft., it’s showed up in 11 James Bond movies. It’s been in arctic expeditions where it has withstood -45 degrees Celsius.
When I was riding on the moped, zooming through the narrow roads of Bermuda, rocks on one side, ocean on the other, with my wife holding on, Rolex Submariner on my wrist and black card in my pocket…I felt like James Bond!

If you knew anything about watches you’d know Rolex isn’t a top brand. IWC is what you should be after.

Prior to Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig, Bond wore a Rolex.
Regarding the James Bond Connection, the Rolex Submariner has appeared in 11 James Bond Movies, although not in the new ones , I believe.
The Amex black card has also made an appearance in a James Bond Movie.

Hmmm…I see someone commented IWC is better than Rolex? I kind of disagree here, they are both on kind of the same league. My personal belief is Rolex is better than IWC.
Buying a watch is a personal style, more than the brand one should look for if the watch/brand he is buying suits his/her personality or not.
As I said earlier, Rolex is like Mercedes, and Brietling is BMW. High end Cartier watches are like Rolls Royce. So, it depends on your choice.
Btw – IWC is kind of nice, but in no ways better!!!

Thats true…I agree with those guys on wickedfire. You have to read in between the lines to find good content. On an alternate thought, blog is kind of personal space too. So, I don’t know. Some people are born braggarts I guess.
There are so many guys who are making tons of money in this business and remain silent and dignified. I never this blog anyway because of too many lame life style posts. Who’s interested in that????
