My Coaching Program :
A number of you have asked about joining my one-on-one coaching program. Here’s the thing, at the moment I only have ONE one-on-one coaching student, and he’s paying me $2k/month for 30 minutes of one-on-one time a week + email support & access to all of my training material.
Honestly, this is a beta test, and it’s going really well. I have a fantastic student who’s progressing very quickly, he already has 2 profitable campaigns!
I’m learning a lot about the process of teaching someone how to do ppc affiliate marketing. Using everything I learn from working with this student, a handful of other one on one students I’ve taken on in the past, and my super affiliate accelerator program, I plan on launching something BIG. I can’t reveal the details, however, you’ll hear more about it in the coming weeks and months.

Has Your Amex Card Been Declined?
I got a call today from friend and former student of mine – he’s now a successful super affiliate in his own right. His Adwords account was put on hold, dude was making $1k/day profit!
Here’s what happened…
Amex has put his Gold Plus card on hold requesting tax returns for last year before they reinstate his card. It will take 7 business days before they can reinstate his card, OUCH!
Apparently Amex is cracking down right now. Check out this recent post on Amex-Black.com about this situation.

So in total of close to 2 hours of one-on-one time a month? Not sure if I have that right. Do you also have limit on # of emails you can answer?
What kind of offers you start your students with? Do you reveal the good potential niches/offers to your students?
What are the prerequisites for the course?

Actually 2k is not a bad price thats pretty cheap speaking you offer e-mail support. I only do consulting for organic search on an hourly bases of 300 per hour. Generally I have clients on contracts and we set up 1 hour a month plus link building campaigns.

As I mentioned to you at ASW, it’s the the dreaded Financial Review.. Any serious business needs more then one source of credit to leverage – while AMEX is nice for the points, it’s best to have backups in place.
For more on the Financial Review, search for that phrase on sites like creditboards.com and fatwallet finance forum.

I can personally vouch for his coaching services. He’s a very good teacher and clear communicator.
I was struggling as an affiliate, making around $50-$75/day.
After about 3.5 – 4 months of working with Amit, my affiliate commission skyrocketed. Now I’m spending $1500++ per day on Adwords and getting a very good return.
The benefit of having a mentor like Amit is that he points out things you might not see yourself. There were quite a few things that I was doing wrong that completely sabataged my success.
For example, there is an optimal way to set up an Adwords campaign. There’s a way of thinking that you need to know when evaluating affiliate offers. There’s a process of researching your market and understanding the dynamics of what landing pages are working for that market.
It’s difficult to find that type of critical/insightful information on any ebook or forum.
Amit is also a very positive guy. It’s always a pleasure to speak with him and I always get off the phone with more insight & understanding.
I’ve taken A LOT of notes during our conversations. I have an entire folder dedicated to some of the stuff he has taught me.

Good post on AMEX … interesting blog to read, he’s right about having more than 1 line of credit. I’m guilty of that, if AMEX cuts the cord for some reason everything would have to pause.
Having at least 2 lines of credit is smart. Any other suggestions besides a credit card?

I sat in the session “Super Affiliate Strategies That Work” at ASW and it was the best session of the summit in my opinion. My only complaint was that it wasn’t long enough! It was standing room only!
While I believe and respect what Joshua is saying, the reality seems to be that a guru or would-be guru starts with a few students and does whatever it takes to make them successful.
When that is translated into a larger scale, it ends ups being a course or product that in all reality is watered down. It’s the personal relationship and subtile things that really make the difference. It’s the “art” of affiliate marketing not the science that difficult to teach. It’s also the little things you pick only by being there with a coach.
So unless this program is actually a 1-2 week retreat with Amit, it probably won’t be any different than everything else you can buy from “successful” internet marketers. So you might as well just choose something, be persistent and give it 100%, and be prepared to take your lumps. Purchasing another course is just going to cause more analysis paralysis.
What Joshua stated and what Fred eluded to is absolutely true.
Products these days are pretty watered down and only simply reveal the latest “dog and pony trick” instead of strategies that will work for the long term.
Mentorship is definitely the way to go!
