Hi Amit,

NIce post and a great introduction to Mind Mapping, It really is a powerful tool and as you other commenters have mentioned it is widely used and very popular.

I think Chuck's comments are extremely relevant to your post and to your readers in general and my thoughts echo his.

With so much information to handle in an internet business, using Mind Mapping software to help you organize your data, projects, ideas, information etc is such a good thing to do.

I interviewed Rich Schefren about how he used Mind Mapping and was so blown away by the possibilities that I created a whole coaching program around how he uses it to be more effective based on how I implemented what he shared with me.

Here are some of the ways you could use Mind Mapping software in an internet marketing business:

* Manage your projects
* Organize all of the freebie content that we get bombarded with during all of those launches
* Capture your product ideas
* Develop products
* Plan content development activities
* Manage your outsourcers

Now you have focused on hand drawn Mind Mind Mapping and one of the questions I am often asked is whether people should use software or just do them by hand.

The answer is to use both as they have different and complementary advantages.

If anyone is reading this for the first time and wants to find out more. There is a free 7 part Introduction to Mind Mapping Video Course on my Mind Mapping Blog

Regards

Interesting post I have been using a freemind program for other a year now for work and my sites including Little Nomads. As Amit has outlined the using mind mapping is great way to capture thoughts and ideas very quickly either onto paper or into soft version.

Freemind map which is supplied through an open source available by using google for search is probably not the most sophisticated on the market, but its free and very easy to use. Highlights of the product is the ability to link easy to sites and files on your pc for quick referencing and the use of icons and formatting allows the user to give the map a spice of colour.

If you are going to try mindmapping to capture your ideas, beware the concept does become a highly addictive but is a great way to capture the thought process in your head.

Map well - James

Hi guys,

When I started my MBA in 1998 we had 2 older guys in our group (they were in there end forties), anyway ... both of them introduced our group of 6 to MindMapping.

I have read quite a lot of Tony Buzan (the person that invented this MM technique). Since that time I have been using MM software (mindmapping.com). But .. Tony himself came out with his own sofware called iMindMap. And after I tried the trial version, I was convinced.

Bye Bye Mindmapping.com, iMindmap here I come! :)

Mindmapping.com is in my opinion not intuitive enough, iMindMap is. Especially if you know what MM is all about. It is not about drawing lines and circles, it is about visualising what is happening, with colours, shapes, pictures, etc etc etc. Search for 'Tony Buzan' on google and you will find a lot of info. The reasons of colours, shapes etc is the same as always .. 1 picture says more than 1000 words!

One of the more powerful aspects of building a business plan utilizing mind mapping software is that you can attached notes, links and files to topics. That means your plan can include all of your supporting information and data, including contractual documents, spreadsheets, links to competitive information, even individual e-mails. For more information on mind mapping tools and their applications, please visit my Mind Mapping Software Blog.

By the way Amit, your post reminded me of one BIP session where Jeremy Palmer recommended Advid Allen's book "GTD" as a perfect self-organizing reference.

We all know how big is your whole business now, so How do you manage to get yourself organised and manage all your personal affiliate and other projects?

Could you please write a more detailed post about it if you are in a mood to do so?

I'll be very thankful to you!!

Amit,

When you were 2-3 months into your affiliate business after having one or two successfully campaigns in one niche, did you kept on expanding you reach in the same niche? How long after did you go into a different niche?

I've been promoting all possible offers successfully in one niche for about 3 months. I'm doing close $700 a day. I think I can scale it to $1500 a day but at the same time it feels to me $700 is sufficient and I should go into other niche but I also worry if my biggest campaign were to get slapped or something, I will lose chunk of my revenue. Not sure what to do?
