I’m back from India, and I gotta tell you it was an AWESOME trip. I’ll tell you all about it in the next post, for now I want to talk about the New Year!
This is really a great time to step back and reflect on what you’ve accomplished in 2007 and what your goals are for 2008.
Now if you had a stellar 2007, then 2008 is about taking what you did in ’07 to the next level. On the other hand, if 2007 sucked for you, don’t worry about it, start ’08 with a clean slate.
Here’s a few tips to setting some business goals for 2008 :
- Shoot for the Moon : Set a goal that REALLY stretches you, a goal that seems outrageous. Depending on where your business is at the moment that might be $10,000/month profit through your affilaite business – that was my first ‘outrageous’ goal when I first started this business and I’ve long since blown WAY past that.
- Put it in Writing : This is really important, write out your goals, DON’T type them on out on Word, I mean really write them out with a pen & paper. Something funky happens in your brain when you do this – it really sinks in.
- Post Your Goals : Take the sheet of paper with your goals on them and paste it somewhere in your office where you can see it EVERYDAY. This way you’ll program your subconscious mind with the goals you want to achieve.
Here’s some of my business goals for ’08 :
- Make $10,000,000 profit from all of my businesses, which have now expanded beyond just affiliate marketing
- Make $500,000 capital gains from my investments - one of my major goals is to make enough money from my investments to cover all my living expenses. So whatever profits my businesses produce is just a BONUS! That’s what I call diversification!
- To fully automate and systematize my businesses so that I make more & more money while working less & less. This is a goal I’ve already started working on aggressively with the help of some very smart people. Making big money as an affiliate is an awesome achievement. Once you’ve accomplished that here’s the real trick : making more & more money WHILE working less & less.
I have some other goals that I’m still fleshing out, but those 3 are my major ones for this year. In particular I’m interested in increasing my PER HOUR earnings, I want to make $10,000,000 in 2008 AND work less hours than I did in 2007.
Now that would be SWEET!
How much is your time worth per hour? And, more importantly, how much do you want it to be worth in 2008?
goal setting
Very nice goals. I’ve actually done this myself.
Welcome back. Happy New year!
Nice goals!
Question:
If you can share the following I’d appreciate it. What was the harder barrier to crack in the monthly earnings threshold? For example, did you find it most difficult to go from $1K to $10K per month of go from $10K to $20K per month. My guess is the former, but, would love your feedback.
Hello Amit.Nice post.Very important what you said about writing down one’s goals. Also I would like to ask you which affiliate program would you recommend for a beginner like myself.
New Year…
New and Improved Mindset!!!
Very cool
What other businesses have you gotten into.
Your posts are always very inspiring Amit. I sent you an email — any chance you had read it?
No doubt…you have to stretch your goals. My first goal was $1000 a day. That was a MAJOR hurdle for my brain. It took me more than one year from that date to CONSISTENTLY make $1000 a day, but by reaching it ONCE, I KNEW I could do it again.
Hi Amit,
Would love to see what you have been doing for your holiday trip to India and leading your Super Affiliate Lifestyle. That i suppose would be the dream of everyone.
Have set my goals for 2008 and i got a good tips from you to write it out and paste it somewhere where i can see it everyday to motivate myself.
Thanks for the fantastic post. $10,000,000 for 2008 sounds so far fetched for me right now but i’m sure you’ll be able to do it becuase you are a Super Affiliate.
