Seriously.
I’m not joking.
I’ve done such a wizbang job delegating or outsourcing so many aspects of affiliate marketing that I find myself with hours and hours and hours of free time everyday.
Now this was my goals for all these years, create time and money, right?
We’ll here’s a big trap I fell into: I started filling all my free time with more and more work.
I was addicted to doing work!
This is a HUGE trap for internet marketers. A lot of internet marketers are working 12-14 hr/day even after their successful. Albeit a lot of them are trying to spin 10 plates at once.
Ask yourself this question: was that your goal when you first started internet marketing, or did it just end up that way??
It took me a while to figure out that I was building an internet marketing rut for myself. After some self-reflection I realized why I decided to fill my void of free time I had with more work.
Internet marketing was my life, I had spend so much of my time focused on getting my business to the point where I would have the life I dreamed of. Well when my business got to that point, I was so addicted to the game that I just kept going.
Only in recently months have I really started adding more balance into my life. I go to the gym everyday, I spend more time with my family. I’m going to start Brazilian Jujitsu in Sept. I’m traveling more.
When you’re getting your business going you need to be totally fanatical, but once you have a system in place that’s bringing you the income and providing you the time you always wanted, it time to shift gears and smell the flowers.
Otherwise you’ll burn out.
Keep building your business with gusto, but at a rested pace and with balance.
freedom time management
Brazilian Jujitsu rocks. I did that for a short while but then switched to Capoeira. Both originated in Brazil.
Hi Amit,
You should of said you had too much free time, if you want to keep your hand in, feel free to help me.

This is the best business in the world. I play basketball at least 4 times a week and for 2-5 hours a day! I love it!
After reading your post, I decided to tell my blog readers about what I do to avoid burn-out.. Taking a complete day of rest (Shabbat in Judaism) from Friday night until Saturday night without so much as thinking about business or turning on my computer! Works great.
