OK, if you haven’t been hit by any of Google recent slap after slap, after slap, then you may very well get hit next month.
NO JOKE.
It’s scary, a lot of affiliates are getting hit HARD by Google recently.
You know what’s REALLY scary? Your at the mercy of some pinhead manual reviewer (PhD from Berkeley) who will smack you with a 1/10 quality score if they don’t like what you’re selling.
I’m at my parents house right now in NJ and my cousin Nirav was over yesterday. He revealed a simple strategy to me on how he’s been recovering from Google slaps and getting 100% of his traffic back.
Here’s what you do:
- Switch to a different domain (you probably already know this trick)
- Slightly change your ads – add a period, remove a period, or whatever.
- Change your campaign name
Lemme ask you, what are YOU doing to recover from Google slaps?
Believe it or not, step #3 is critical, if you don’t change your campaign name you’ll get slapped again within a week. That’s right, Big G is tracking your campaign name as well as your domain and your ad.
PS I’m gonna start blogging again in a BIG way, and this time for real. More details to come soon…

Hi Amit,
That is really great information to know. I had a site that I spent months on and is a huge site which I disagreed as to why I was receiving a low quality score.
I contacted my Google Adwords rep who is excellent and she reviewed the site and sent of to the Google policy department for a further review. It is clear that sometimes if you beleive you have done everything right they will acknowledge and do the right thing. Since receiving th email reply back from Google I now have an excellen quality score. Here is the email I received back.
Hello Richard,
Thank you for your patience with regard to this issue.
I’ve just heard back from our policy specialists and they’ve informed me
that they have re-reviewed your site http://www.XXXXXXXXXX.com and you should no longer experience a low Quality Score due to the landing page.
If you have any further questions, please contact us at

Looks like there is still hope.
By the way Amit keep the blogs going as I value your feedback.
By the way Vagas was great. Hope to see you in Australia one day.
Kind regards
Richard
Switch to a different domain will not help if you not having a real site you’re very likely to get slapped again, and again and again until your Google Adwords Account will maybe be Banned! Play by Google’s Rules!
Be careful Amit with doing what your cousin is doing because Google is now banning Adwords accounts. See article by Jonathan Volk. http://zacjohnson.com/my-google-adwords-account-was-banned/
I recently had 4 of my campaigns slapped by Google. Unfortunately, I had done all three tips you mentioned – change domain names, change ads, change campaign name. I even changed the web site to go from 10+ pages to 25+ pages. Still, I had 10/10 QS then a week later, down to 1/10. What I ended up doing was creating a new Adwords account and run campaigns from there. What kills me is there is this guy from Thailand completely copied several of my ads, web sites (I am talking about entire content, graphics, etc.) and his ads are still running on Google. Go figure!
