My wife loves order stuff of the internet, in fact we have stuff coming in the mail everyday, it’s nuts!
She recently order me some gym shorts and a few polo shirts, both were medium in size. When the finally arrived in the mail we were shocked to see how big they were the waist line on the MEDIUM gym shorts must have been 45 inches, they were WAY too big for me, I doubt I would even fit in the small.
The medium sized polo shirts (which were from a different company) were absolutely enormous, I mean you’d have to weight over 250 pounds to fit it to these puppies. Needless to say, we had to return both the gym shorts and polo shorts.
What in the world is going on?!?
I heard there’s an obesity epidemic going on but this is ridiculous, 10-15 years ago the medium gym shorts and polo shorts I got would have classified as XXL, not M. At the rate clothing sizes are growing my wife and I are going to have to hire a personal tailor.
I not going to rant about the importance of being healthy and controlling your weight, but if you want to be a successful super affiliate or be successful in anything else then take care of your freakin’ health!
Being overweight or obese will not only effect your energy levels and your lifespan, but your self-esteem as well. I know many of you may work from home, and if you’re in that category (like myself) then you really have to make a concerted effort to go to the gym at least 3 times a week, or participate in some sports, to help keep yourself active.
Eating right and exercising will not only improve the quality of your life, but it will help you succeed in other parts of your life as well.
And YES, I suggest you cut time you would spend working on your campaigns to go to the gym and workout.

Not to mention it hurts your affiliate sex appeal…
In NJ they are creating a department of obesity to try and curb obesity. Since most of the people working for the state is obese themselves I’m curious to see how this plays out. LOL
Anyway, I agree I go to the gym a few times a week or at least go outside and walk around the neighborhood. I think eating right is the key to staying at a healthy weight. I eat a lot of fruit and organic food.
Hi Alex,
LOL! Exactly!
Amit,
I do understand your frustration but I don’t think the blame lies completely on the obese. After all, companies will jump at charging more for larger sizes so why the outfit was too big is hard to tell..
I know a lot of teens like the ‘baggy” look and maybe companies are starting to incorporate this in most clothing now… hard to tell.
Also, some people who are obese (like myself) can’t exercise as much as others due to injuries (I have injured discs which prevent a lot of movements). I do try however to move around as much as possible and to lose weight.
many people who are now Internet Marketers are also doing it because it is the one thing they are able to do (like myself). I use to be a factory worker and was told I may never work again..
Thanks to IM I found a way… a way to win back my self-asteem even though I have gained weigh due to my condition.
Great post!
Peter
I think exercising definately is the key to the mental and the physical
