Before I give you a list of books which I strongly recommend that you read, I want to talk to all the non readers out there, and you know who you are.
Most people stop reading after they finish school, and NO Cosmo, the news, and Sports Illustrated DON’T COUNT. I’m talking about reading books, specifically non fiction books that will help you grow.
You know there’s a saying that goes something like : “Rich people have their books, and poor people have their television.” And from my experience this could not be more true.
If you never liked reading, then it’s going to take some effort to develop the habit. Here’s what I recommend: Read 15 minutes each night before you go to bed.
If you read 15 minutes a day from the book list I’m going to give you then I can tell you right now, it will change your life.
It changed mine.
Most affiliates out there are just focused on learning techniques and strategies to begin a better marketer. If that’s all you’re doing your making a big mistake. If you want to be financial free, happy, rich, and prosperous, you’re going to need a lot more than just an ebook about the latest tips and tricks on Adwords.
Do YOU know what I’m saying?
If you’re 35 years old and broke, then the thoughts you had in the last 10 years have brought you to where you are now. Now if you don’t change you’re thinking then where do you think you’ll be in the next 10 years??

Back when I was broke, I realized that I had to change to the way I thought if I wanted to change my personal (I was very unhappy) and financial situation. So I literally read dozens of books about: personal growth, spiritual growth, personal finance, marketing, business/entrepreneurship, success, etc,etc. It was a transformational experience. And to this day I still focus heavily on personal growth.
Why do I still heavily focus on personal growth?
Yes, I want to be happier, I want to improve my relationships, and I want more peace of mind, but besides that I realized this simple truth:
Your net worth will NEVER exceed your self-worth.
In order to take my affiliate marketing business to the next level, I must grow first.
Of course, the best way to increase your self-worth is to get fanatical about personal growth. One of the best and most cost effective ways of growing personally and developing that coveted millionaire mindset, is to do what I did, that is to read, read, and READ some more.
Anyone can do this, no matter what your financial situation, by going to your local public library and grabbing copies of each of the books I recommend, which I will talk about on my next post, so stay tuned!
Let me add that Amit couldn’t be more right. I sought first self development before I went on my quest for financial freedom, I suppose it was somewhat backwards for me. A couple of years ago I realized that I had wasted a bunch of time and that I had not really grown as much as I felt was needed to realize my calling. I sought information about men who had great happiness and success in their lives and it really opened up my eyes.
As a Christian, for me it started and still to this day starts with the Gospels and then the Bible as a whole, for those who don’t like religion let me state that you will get no greater example of leadership than Jesus Christ. The #1 trait for a leader (and you must be a leader to make your vision a reality because no one will make it become a reality other than you)is leadership by example. To be the servant leader and to lead by what people see you doing.

Emyth Mastery The Seven Essential Disciplines for Building a World Class Company-Michael E Gerber (One of my hero’s)
This books will apply to any type of business you want to start, this was the book that made me realize that my calling was entrepreneurship and leadership.
The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People-Stephen R Covey (Another one of my hero’s)
A wonderful read about how to succeed with self and others
The Science of Getting Rich-Wallace D Wattles
This book was the inspiration for The Secret, but guess what, there is no phreaking secret. This book will inspire your vision and gives THE simple but powerful habits and though processes necessary to get the riches necessary to fully express your God given talents. These three books are deep and profound reads that you will read over and over again, they are not just philosophical, but they give lessons to implement. They have little to do with financial success, they have much more to do with character success. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ THESE. You will forge more powerfully towards your dreams after you read these books, they are life changing, they are practical and gritty, and will inspire your soul and the entrepreneur that lies in all of us.

That is the quote that put it all together for me, I realized that simple statement encompassed all I had studied up until now. Your dream, your unwavering belief in that dream, the asking of that dream, the envisioning of that dream, the knowing that dream will come to pass, and then getting your ass to work to make that dream happen.
