I know some of you are reading my lifestyle posts and getting angry.
I know how you feel.
I was angry and frustrated for a long time. I saw other people who were successful, had time and money, and everything, it seemed! I wanted badly to be successful too, and of course have the incredible lifestyle that went with it.
The problem was I was completely wrapped up in fear and doubt. I had to learn not to be so attached, I had to learn to just let go and get excited about the journey.
You see, success is a journey and not a destination.
I recently had lunch with a good friend of mine and fellow super affiliate, Jeff Roth. We’ve been friends for years, and in business together in the past. We failed for years, and surprisingly enough we had our big successes around the same time.
I love just talking to Jeff about all the crap we went through, all the years we failed, all the crazy stories! It was exciting, because even though we couldn’t see the results, we know we were doing what 99% of people were unwilling to do. We knew if we kept doing it we would live like 99% can only dream of living.
And NOW WE DO!
Get excited about the journey, and stop worrying about the results.
If you ever studied Hindu philosophy, you understand that the key to success is taking action without being attached to the results.
This is easier said than done.
Set your goals, write out a game plan, and then execute your game plan and forget the goals.
Enjoy everyday, know that even if your next campaign fails that you’re that much closer to finding a winner. Know that with every campaign that fails you’ve learned something that will help you succeed in the future.
Every failure is a stepping stone to success, if you learn from it.
affiliate lifestyle goal setting overcoming failure
Michael: If you’re not interested in posts about anything other than affiliate marketing then get lost! Life is much more than just money and business. Amit (the owner of this blog) has his life too…and he’s sharing all the real info here for free…I bet if any real super affiliates do that…except for those self-proclaimed Gurus…
BTW I am NOT the owner of this blog…just a loyal reader!
They don’t really piss me off or anything – but I can see how some people might get a bit irritated.
Though rather than boasting about your bling, I’d love to see you start boasting about your donations to charity.
Amit,
You seem to be a man of good intentions and it also seems obvious to me that your posts are meant as motivators and those who dont ALLOW others to offend them understand this. Thank you for sharing kind sir.
Warm regards,
The True King Carlos
Micheal,
Go back to “the crowd” at the forums and eat the bread crumbs thrown your way.

Stephane,
Looks like I’m having the pissing contest now. Sorry.
Amit,
If you posted a pic of your car, and it was a Ford Taurus, some would call you “down to earth” and “someone they can relate to.” Others would say “if you’re so rich, why are you driving a Taurus?”
If you were to post a pic of a Ferrari or Lamborghini parked in your driveway some would immediately call you a braggart, a jerk, an a-hole, etc.
No matter what you do, someone will complain.
The people who are bothered by your lifestyle posts are insecure and dealing with feelings of inadequacy. Ignore them….
Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful…
Your lifestyle post is good and it is very inspirational, it did not piss me off.
THe post only piss off some “jeolous loser”
so ignore all the “jeolous loser” from wickedfire and keep on your nice work
Would you guys please stop going back and forth about his post!! It is Amit’s Blog and he can write what he likes. Now, Does anyone know what would be the best step by step book that I could get on affiliate marketing? I am a NEWBIE and I want to start marketing. PLEASE ANSWER…I believe there is alot of knowledge here and I want to learn.
Thanks so much
Rachelle, I wish AM was as easy as finding a step-by-step book on the subject but there’s no such thing. Go out and read, read, read! No one will give you a simple step-by-step guide as everyone develop there own strategies.
Find an affiliate program about a product or service you know about and find a way to promote it through a website, PPC, etc. Do a search on Google on that particular product / service and look at what the big guys do and do it better than they did.
You can read GoogleCash although it’s a bit outdated. Perry Marshall’s ebook on AdWords is a good read also.
Now this place is not a forum, it’s a blog where we’re supposed to comment on the current post.
