Anniversary Present for My Wife

November 27th, 2007 by Amit

Today is my wife and I’s 3rd wedding Anniversary! :)

And I gotta tell you the last 3 years have been the happiest years of my life, I’m so blessed to be married to such a wonderful wife.

This year to show my wife just how much she means to me I got her a shimmering diamond ring (the center stone alone is over 1.5 carats) and an Omega watch with gold and diamond bezel and oyster pearl back as an anniversary present:

ring-watch.JPG

Now I’m not going to bludgeon you with what this cost, because that’s NOT the point of this post.

You see, back when Shilpi and I got married I was so broke that I could not even afford to buy my wife-to-be a diamond ring, my parents bought it!

I felt really bad about this.

I promised her that one day when I made more money I would buy her a really nice ring.

And now, thanks to this AWESOME business, I was able to do that. No payment plan, the ring and the watch are fully paid for!

This meant just as much to me as it meant to Shilpi.

And you know what, she’s my loving wife, and she deserves nothing but the BEST.

I promised her when we got married that I would give her the best life and that is a promise I strive to fulfill everyday, and NOT just by making more money.

One of best parts about becoming a super affilaite, is how you can bless those close to you. Thanks to this business, I can spend so much more time with my wife and do so many more things for her that I could never do back when I worked a job and was broke.

When YOU become a super affiliate, how will it impact your spouse and your family?

That is exactly the reason I am building an affiliate business…to spend more time with my wife. This post is a good reminder that I am doing the right thing. Thanks.

    Hi Amit & Shilpi,

Happy 3rd Wedding Anniversary! Make sure you do enjoy yourself together before making babies.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the PPC community. Allow me to be the first to congratulate Amit and Shilpi Mehta on the arrival of their new baby as a result of Amit buying ladies best friends, i.e. diamond ring in a nine months time.

Keep up good the good works. I really do enjoy reading your posts.

    Many thanks.

    U R a True Gentleman….
Diamond and watch nice combination, but above all Shilpi deserves it, She was understanding enough of you and your business in the intial phase.

Sam O I love your post…. what a prediction by the way what tool you used for this research.

You keep saying you were broke, but you were making $90K a year (that’s not broke in America). And as a Ph.d student you should have gotten plenty of grants to pay for your grad school, no?

Nice to see how committed you are to your wife. I’m curious whether as Indians, this was an arranged marriage or whether you dated.

I”m still waiting for an updated reading list that focuses specifically on Affiliate Marketing.

Not ANOTHER “check out how much money I spend” ego post. You are far and away the most conceited bragger of all the self proclaimed “super affliates”. You must have been a real nobody before affiliate marketing.

Why is everyone so judgemental? I most have my mind on the wrong things, maybe I should devot some energy on Amits personal finances and ego—-NOT!!!!…
I look forward to these post. A few post about the business, a few about liftsytle, good stuff.
    Happy Anniversary Amit & Shilpi:)

    Susan,

Jermey Palmer is no longer selling his book so much as I would like to, its no longer for sale.
But you have others. I’m hoping to get into the PPC Classroom early next year when all the holiday smoke has cleared. Yes I do strugged this time of year. But there are other less expensive sources.

    O’reilly Books
    -Google Hacks: 100 Industrial-Strength Tips & Tools
-Google Advertising Tools: Cashing in with AdSense, AdWords, and the Google APIs

    Books by Perry Marshall

Just reading books on Affiliate Marketing is not enough.
I would also say start using Adwords, if only with a 2-5 dollar a day budget. Atleast you will start learning to work with the process, getting some data. No complete experts here, we all still learning.

    God Bless

    Hi Amit & Shilpi,

Happy 3rd Wedding Anniversary! You’re a true gentleman. You show such devotion, care and love for your family members and your business. I hope you prosper more. Wishing you good luck!

    Susan:

$90K/year is a good pay but 90k per year vs. 90k+ per month is nothing. See when you make 90k+/month, 90k/year looks like being broke.

    Amit,

I wish you and your wife many more happy years together. My wife and I are approaching our 14th anniversary.

When we got married, I was so broke she put a $250 gold wedding ban set on her credit card!! I felt so horrible about that.

When I was finally able to buy her a beautiful diamond, I felt so good as a man, and happy to upgrade her to what I felt she deserved. I’ll never forget that day..

    Anyway, continued success!

Susan, you seem to be here 50% to ask Amit for help and 50% to expose him as a fake. It’s really an odd combination.

If Amit wants to reveal personal information on here like what he got his wife as a present, fine, it’s his platform to do so. But what’s with the overly personal questions? Is it really any of your business whether Amit’s marriage was arranged or not?

P.S. Amit & Shilpi, congratulations on 3 years!

I don’t know why my question on arranged marriages elicited such a negative response! The reason I asked it is because the Indians I know who’ve had arranged marriages seem to be very happy, while the Americans who dated for years before getting married are either miserable or already divorced. I also think I have a fascination with India - the country, it’s people and it’s culture. It was really a culturally question (but if it’s too personal I’m sure Amit will just ignore it).

I will try and ask questions only on the topic of AM next time.
