About Me

March 27th, 2007 by Amit

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Back in 2005 when I was a graduate student, I became fascinated with the internet economy and began reading every book I could get my hands on regarding the subject. I was inspired to start an internet business of my own.

I discovered that setting up a website and promoting affiliate products was the fastest way to get started with an internet business. I began researching and reading ebooks on the subject to learn as much as I could about it (starting in March 2005).

Over the months, I had little to no success; however, I was determined to succeed. You see, I hated my job at a famous government research lab. I wanted to be desperately free from my job and live the incredible lifestyle so many of the internet marketing ‘gurus’ talk about.

In September 2005, I stumbled upon Google Adwords and PPC Marketing in general. I began to devour every book regarding PPC Affiliate Marketing. Within 4 months, I was able to grow my online business, managing to make $10,000 in profits for the month of December 2005.

On June 15, 2006 I walked away from a $90,000/yr job and entered the “land of the living”, never to work a “day job” again.

Fast forward to April 2007. I’m currently building several companies around the affiliate marketing business model and my business profits are currently $90,000/month… and increasing rapidly.

Performance Marketing Worldwide

Performance Marketing Worldwide (PMW) is an affiliate marketing company whose target is to systematize the creation, and execution of PPC Affiliate Marketing campaigns. The goal of PMW is two-fold:

1) To become a dominate player in the affiliate marketing space; and
2) To improve the reputation of the affiliate marketing industry.

I would like to personally thank everyone for visiting Super Affiliate Mindset and it is my hope that I can help as many people as possible acheive their goals in this exciting profession :)

Best Regards,
Amit Mehta

    Hi Amit,

I came accross this website and when i saw your picture on the top i recognized that we had met earlier. I don’t know if you remember me, but i met you in the affiliate summit in June 06 in Orlando. I was doing aff mktng for 3 years (mostly part time advertising in yahoo and msn) and i told you that i had a hard time with adwords. You suggested me to read “Perry Marshall’s” book…After the summit i read the book, applied the strategies and actually learnt so much that adwords brings most of my profits in the niche iam into currently.

So, i stopped by to say “THANK YOU” for being kind and very open about helping others, which not a lot of people do.

    Best wishes,
    Ajay

btw: i am enjoying your blog..Its extremely motivating. Never came across anything like this before. Keep it up!

    Hi Amit,

I came across your blog through BuildingMyEmpire.com who found it through ShoeMoney. I guess sending him a t-shirt really works for getting more publicity and traffic to your blog. :)

I find your blog to be particularly interesting because you have already traveled further along the path which I set out on. Like you, I too have gone to graduate school and am currently working for a large research lab. I’ve had some success with search marketing but no where near your levels of success.

I hope to learn more from you and I’m going to be checking your blog daily. :)

I used to work at MIT Lincoln labs in Lexington, MA. I can tell you that doing affiliate marketing full time is a blast compared to having to work at MIT.

I wish you the best of luck, if you can do scientific research than this business will be cake walk for you. :)

    Hi Amit,
You took 4 months of consistent effort to really breakthrough in Affiliate Marketing, Can I ask if Adword is the one and only thing that you really studied, explore and experiment to get your income in?

Reason why I asked is because I wanted to know if its highly feasible to go to CJ, search a product keyword phrase that I could target and do an adword campaign to redirect any traffic to that affiliate site..assuming i have research that product demand through overture already..

apart from the freedom and the money is there more to this affiliate marketing thing? I mean do you find products and services that you believe in and/or have some affinity with. Personally, I find that I lose interest pretty quickly marketing stuff I don’t really believe in (Ive worked for Corps selling C/C, vitamins, publishing and more). Have you got any tips or maybe an insight for those searching for ‘good products’ that really do help people and are ethical?
By the way love your blog - keep it up.

I’d like to add that I’m a webmaster by trade and a blogger at many sites including blog.namifiers.com and I know that you have your fingers in many influential circles and probably a lot more than me. I can only speak for myself, so I know that within my circle of friends and business acquaintances including my daughter’s charter school, choir group and my wife’s church groups, reading groups and my current and past clients that I get word of these organizations needs for ordering or the need of ordering ID promo products such as lanyards, badge holders, name tags and vinyl banners long before they place that order. My antenna goes up knowing that if I can refer to them the lowest price on these recognition products and they can have same-day shipping / services the day an order is placed that they are going to be pleased with their next purchase. Not to mention, I too get a handsome reward (12% commision paypal check) for having them place an order and get a 10% discount on their order by mentioning my affiliate ID. Please keep this in mind for yourself and you’ll have Christmas bonus payouts every month this new year 2008.

I am the Promotional Product Affiliate Manager for Namifiers, LLC. - I want to briefly share with you a simple success story in making money that happened earlier this December and how I paid that affiliate $408.37 in commission for a single order at 12% commissions that stemmed from one phone call. The customer got the quality product they were looking for and received a handsome commission check for simply hosting a link on their website and placing a call for some custom vinyl banners, lanyards and name tags.

    Amit,

I discovered your blog yesterday and stayed up all night reading it on my tiny blackberry browser. I love this blog!

First, you have a great writing style. It’s humorous, educational, and inspiring. And you write from your heart.

Second, the information you share is simply amazing. Instead of high level stuff, you share the actual details of what works. You share the work as well as the rewards you gain from it. Thank you for this! I agree, by your giving, you will get a lot more.

Third, I love your devotion to your wife. I especially enjoyed the photo of you with the diving bell, holding her hand. For some reason, it was so funny, there you are, underwater, with that heavy diving bell and so sweet because you are holding her hand. Your relationship with her is inspiring.

Congratulations on your success and I wish you lots more.

If you and your wife are ever in the San Francisco area, please contact me. I’d love to take you both around and show this you beautiful city.

In one post your copywriter stated that you paid her and she gets a peice the revenue generated by any campaigns she helps you with, can you give some guidelines/suggestions on how to set up this type of business relationship. What’s a good percentage to pay them? How do they know how much money is being made? How often do you paid them?

    Hi Amit,

I came upon your website by chance today while surfing for the name of those that manage to earn the title of “Super Affiliates.”
(by the way is there such title given by any organisation?)

I will be taking my first live course in internet marketing under a well known super affiliate. I am feeling I could accomplish much more than that constrictive place in present work place and for close to a decade has not given any recognition.

I am very eager to start out on the right track in internet marketing. Internet is also my favourite pass time.

I have no experience in internet marketing although daily I surf the nets for hours for all things that came across my mind and sometimes aimlessly.

I had just signed up to learn Internet Marketing live with a well known internet marketer over 3 days.

    1) Do you have any advice for me to be successful in internet marketing?
    2) What is the strategy and mindset I should have to start out in Internet Marketing?
3)Is it possible to learn internet marketing from ebooks and CDs?
    4) Is it possible to immediately start to make $ within 1 week without any products now?
    5) Is Affiliate marketing the easiet to start out to make $ for a beginner? I hope to be like you in shortest possible time.

If possible I would appreciate if you could contact me through email to give advice and guidance. Thank you lot.

    With sincerity,
    Jerry

    Amit,

This is the first time I read your “About” page! I am currently a graduate student in a science field (cancer biology), and I am about to get my PhD later this year. In addition, I have been working in affiliate marketing for a little while now, with some success, and getting better at it day by day!

After I get the PhD, I plan to get out of the research field (my PI doesn’t really know :)). I was really surprised that you did research and worked in a “famous government research lab” - I can only speculate which one :)

Anyway, I love your blog! Very inspirational and informative. Thanks.

    Amit,
I wanted to leave a comment on your most recent post, but it’s off the topic of the most and I did not want to be selfish, so I hope it’s ok to put on this string of comments. I’m interested in finding out more about your coaching program, there’s not information that I see available anywhere on this page, is it something you still do?

    Thanks.

Hi, I was just wondering what the use of this blog was to you?
I mean I doubt it would make a significant amount of money so why else would you be doing it?
